Many of these factories would emit large amounts of toxic fumes in the air. This is something that has been or is trying to be eliminated. Many of these businesses have taken it upon themselves to develop methods that reduce the amount of pollution they are contributing.
Lawmakers took steps to prevent further damage and required these large industries and any other pollution contributing industry to change their ways and clean up their procedures. These laws that have been enacted were written with the expressed purpose of eliminating the problem of air pollution.
Overpopulation, overfishing, heavy pollution and ozone depletion are contributors to the destruction of the planet. The fact that we are aware of these problems goes a long way but people must participate for positive changes to occur.
